Thanks for your inquiry about Uptown Fayetteville. You are correct in many respects, as in Uptown is simply North Fayetteville’s shopping/business district, and we are establishing it as a brand of its own. However, our efforts compliment the branding efforts of Downtown/Dickson Street, as we map out the Great City of Fayetteville as a destination for entertainment, shopping, dining & other business activities. Efforts to promote Downtown/Dickson and the Uptown District are greatly supported by the city of Fayetteville & the local Chamber of Commerce. The intent is not to “break-up” the city or “exclude” other parts of Fayetteville. There’s plenty to do and see across other areas of the city that do not fall in the Downtown or Uptown regions. The branding efforts are simply to support tourism and highlight the many offerings of these bustling destinations in Northwest Arkansas. Hope this clears it up some?

Check their website. The Tilted Kilt is Scottish/Irish in name only, as is their food. It’s just the same American fare you’d get at any of those other places. It’s Hooters in a plaid miniskirt. What do you get when you cross a sports bar with Braveheart? The Tilted Kilt.

i’m asking this out of confusion why do you call this uptown when its just about the north end shopping district area. uptown is dickson street area sounds as prejudice as fayetteville is about Improvements to the south (exsample) collage ave.should go straight through the south rather then turning east leaving the south named so school ave creating a stigma when its the entrance from fort smith and should be a representative of fayetteville so here we are establishing north as uptown does avery town need a slum you’re definitely promoting the image of cuttung out the entire center of town please explan why hope you can clear it up

Just as well, IMO–I don’t really think Fayetteville needs another sports bar (I’m not that into sports so having the events on at restaurants just serves as a distraction for me). I’m curious about this Tilted Kilt place that’s coming in; sounds interesting–I like Scottish things, so a Scottish themed restaurant interests me.

On the other hand, I really miss TGI Friday’s and wish *they* would come back.
